Damage to a company vehicle – am I entitled to compensation?
Traffic damage is one of the most common cases reported to insurance companies. Currently, many entrepreneurs have their motor vehicles entered into the register of fixed assets, while fulfilling numerous statutory obligations, including purchasing compulsory insurance. Is compensation due for all damage?

Corporate liability insurance or AC?
First of all, two types of insurance offered by insurance companies should be distinguished. The first one, third party liability insurance, is civil liability insurance. It concerns damages that were caused by the policyholder himself, and is therefore obliged to pay appropriate compensation to the third party. By concluding an appropriate contract, the insurer covers the costs of compensation due for damage caused by the policyholder.
In turn, comprehensive liability insurance (auto casco) is voluntary insurance and covers possible own damage or protection against possible damage to your own vehicle by unspecified entities. In this case, the Insurer pays appropriate compensation to the insured person, as a third party cannot be held liable in this case.
Can you always get insurance for damage to your vehicle?
Please note that insurance payouts depend on several factors. The first and most important factor is determining liability for the damage. It may be attributed to the entrepreneur, a third party or an unspecified person or external factor. Only if a third party is found liable will compensation be paid under his policy. In other situations, the entrepreneur will receive compensation from his auto insurance policy, if he has any. The content of the insurance policy itself is a separate issue. It is on this basis that it can be determined whether the entrepreneur is entitled to compensation for this specific type of damage or the event that resulted in damage to the vehicle and whether it will cover the damage to the full extent.
Insurance companies often underpay compensation or refuse to pay it in full. Our company each time analyzes the actual situation and is able to assess whether it is possible to obtain compensation for the damaged vehicle, both in the case of partial and total loss.
